about

SERENA released two remixes of her protest song Wild Lavender, the opening track of her later EP ‘Welcome to Wasteland’.

Made in collaboration respectively with Swiss producer St. Ruby and Welsh multidisciplinary artist Al Worth, the remixes will present the song in a new guise, without compromising with its politically active focus.

St. Ruby chooses to enhance the bucolic aspect of Wild Lavender with a groovy Chill Wave rework, that brings you closer to Mother Nature and its wonders.
Simultaneously, Al Worth elevates the protest element using drone synths and heavy drums in a powerful Industrial Rock interpretation.

“It’s incredible how two artists so different from each other’s ended up choosing to remix the same song in such unique ways. Both versions make you want to dance:
one while holding a cocktail on a beach at sunset, the other one while howling at the moon, naked, in a field” _SERENA
