about
The song is about the exceptional sand-storm called “Ophelia” (October 2017) which turned the sky of London of a warm yellow tone. The two verses in the songs are a sort of stream of consciousness where I describe the places touched by the Storm, before meeting up with me. But there’s no time to stop, the wind never stops, so the Choruses are my unheard wish to be carried away by the Storm, away from my problems, up in the sky, above everyone and everything. But is it really up there the solution? What if up in the sky is just like here, noisy and polluted?
lyrics
Slumber filter on the clouds
Sand storm on the bell
Swirl of wind smashed in
red bricks of proletarian nests
Against of grainy smoke of chimneys
from the waves of Thames
Evolves and grows,
resuscitates from abyss of madness
Take me with you
Show me above
Is it quite up there?
Emirates makes you deaf
Italian tiles for kitchens where
only the microwave will cook,
or bathrooms where you
will pout for your
bunch of followers
Cheap computers,
stolen phones,
unlocked identities
for hidden lives,
where sugary coffee is already inside
Take me with you
Show me above
Is it quite up there?
Emirates makes you deaf
Take me with you
Show me above
Is it quite up there?
Emirates makes you deaf
You always run, always run where you go
but when you, rest if you rest, do you die?
yeah you can hit me, and pierce me, not hurt me,
wish everything was like that
You always run, always run where you go
but when you, rest if you rest, do you die?
yeah you can hit me, and pierce me, not hurt me,
wish everything was like that
Take me with you
Show me above
Is it quite up there?
Emirates makes you deaf
Take me with you
Show me above
Is it quite up there?
Emirates makes you deaf
